Come celebrate the joyous Christmas Season in the City of Hamilton at our annual Santa on the Square and Christmas Parade in Downtown Hamilton. The parade will begin at 6:00 P.M.
The Hamilton Christmas parade will travel its route through downtown Hamilton with holiday-themed floats and vehicles. All businesses, churches, civic organizations, and individuals who would like to participate are encouraged to do so. There is no entry fee for participation.
Line up registration for marching bands and all groups who will be walking in the parade will be held at the exit road at Hamilton Middle School.
Line up registration for floats and all vehicles with riders (pageant winners, etc.) will be at the Hamilton Fire Department / former National Guard Armory location. Equestrian line up will take place at the Marion County Co-Op.
Line up registration for antique vehicles line up will be at Star Printing and The Journal Record.
Please, no fake Santas. The real Santa is being provided transportation by the Hamilton Area Chamber of Commerce and our friends at the Hamilton Fire Department.
Throwing of candy is permitted.
The parade route will be the reverse of the Homecoming Parade route, leaving from Alabama Highway 17, going North on Military Street, then West onto Bexar Ave. at the Courthouse, and then South on 1st Street SW, then West on Aggie Ave.

These vehicles and floats will be judged in the parade line-up areas, and winners will be announced after the parade with trophies being awarded to first, second, and third places in each category.
New decorating category:
Best Decorated Business category will be added as part of the festivities. Winners will
